What is Personalized Lactation Care?

For new mom's or parent's, feeding your baby is the most important job – whether you breastfeed, bottle-feed, or feed through a tube, you are helping your baby grow and feel loved by feeding them.

Often times once parents are home with baby, seeing a Lactation Consultant to ensure you are on the right track while breastfeeding can be reassuring.  From the privacy and comfort of your own home, Leading the Latch can determine if any adjustments are needed or help you address any concerns you may have about the breastfeeding experience.

Leading the Latch utilizes a high end scale that provides incredible sensitivity for the smallest of patients. It was specifically designed to weigh premature infants and babies that are having difficulty gaining weight, featuring a measurement accuracy of 0.1oz/2g. This is especially helpful for obtaining weight gain calculation for pre and post feeding.

Leading the Latch provides support to families and babies learning how to breastfeed.  The initial consultation includes a confidential discussion of the medical history of parent, baby, and birth story, followed by a comprehensive assessment, recommendations, and detailed plan.

Breastfeeding comes with ups and downs while both parent and baby are learning. Leading the Latch can also serve as an important source of support for parents.
